‘In Community Land, We Trust’ was developed in response to the national housing crisis and number of homeless and hidden homeless people that require an alternative inclusive option for refuge. There is an increasing number of empty buildings in the country and this project provides an approach of how they could be occupied. I have explored an example of how the Sheffield CLT could be an umbrella for local groups working in specific postcodes. By creating an inclusive, caring and trusting network, developed knowledge can be transferred across the city for its residents to take ownership of their streets.
