The Museum of Water
Global warming has appeared in the headlines of newspapers at an increased rate over the past few years and has caught my attention, it really interests me how human activities have enormous impacts on the climate change. Since the built environment accounts for 39% of global carbon emissions, I decided to push myself and create a zero-carbon design that would reduce pollution while meeting the 2030 targets. Biomimicry technology was utilised in the design of the Museum to achieve this. The entire structure is inspired by water, with the roof shape influenced by the form of a wave, and it makes use of clerestory windows and natural water filtering systems.
