There is so much food waste in the world, we casually overspend and throw away food without realising the impact that it has. There is enough food in the world to feed everyone yet, there are still people suffering from food insecurity. In response to these social issues, my proposal aims to create a shift in the way we think about food and provide a space for people dealing with food insecurity through providing a food hub for surplus food and food waste drop off, a community kitchen, growing spaces, and a food hall/ pantry where people have access to free or discounted food and can pay what they can afford.
