Exploring the roles and processes of a community defined bottom-up infrastructural intervention. By addressing the existing community of City Road’s lack of accessible community green space, through the creation of a series of civic resource spaces will allow for the spread of community greening ideals and the exchanging of knowledge between local community members challenging the ownership of public realm and creating opportunity for healthy community spaces and a civic hub at the centre of the otherwise linear and car dominated City Road Highstreet. The project is contained and expands outwards of a retrofitted Substation, giving public access to tool storage, Growing facilities, Workshop space as well as a growing, cultivating and harvesting resource library.
