The Architectural Technology course is based on applied project based learning. Our students work on a series of live projects across the years, developing design, technical, environmental, digital and professional skills.
Look out for projects from our Exhibition 2022 !
BSc Architectural Technology students continue to amaze with their mastery of digitally produced design projects.
Final Year students followed a brief to design a Central Workshop building for the City Campus at Sheffield Hallam University. The building contained a mix of making, teaching and exhibition spaces and explores the potential of off-site pre-fabrication.
Second Year students worked on a live-brief refurbishment project for Emmaus Sheffield in semester one and on a Musculoskeletal Services Outpatients Centre at the Northern General Hospital in semester two. First year have followed our well-established series of smaller projects named Between the Trees, Makers and Future Dwelling. These all integrate design, technical, environmental, and digital skills.
