The brief requires to design a structural element on a given site within Botanical Gardens. A sustainable material involved in the research was bamboo, specifically bamboo technology and how it has evolved in architecture as a fast-growing, natural material. Using the site response as a primary idea, the structure developed by looking into crucial viewpoints of the site and incorporating them into the design.
The final design consists of a Corten steel structure, keeping in mind big openings to provide open space and sightings of the important viewpoints of the site. The Bamboo structure highlights fluidity and movement to allow the user to be guided through the site whilst remaining a tipi-style form.
