We have hit 2050, UK’s population sits at 77 million an increase of 10 million since 2022. As the energy crisis continued, the UK became reliant on solar energy which proved to be effective temporarily, despite high hopes solar panels began appearing everywhere, parks, roofs, and farmlands turned into solar farms. As the demand grew many solar panels began reaching their expiry date, resulting in toxic landfills polluting our land. Energy production faces more scrutiny than ever, cities, towns and individuals are seeking new ways to live off-grid and gain ownership of their energy production. As a result, community collaborations were born; research and education are establishing revolutionary adaptations to our architecture and ways of life. We learned that pumped hydroelectric storage allows us to sustainably store and produce energy, whilst clouds generate water vapour to spin our turbines. The future is unknown, but we are in the process of creating it.
